Enriched Air Nitrox
Exhausted after a multi-dive day? Looking to add an extra margin of safety to your diving? Great on air consumption but limited by no-decompression time? Learn to extend your bottom time, increase your safety and feel less fatigued by learning to dive with Enriched Air, commonly called Nitrox.
As you learned in your Open Water class, it's normally nitrogen that causes decompression problems. More O2 means less Nitrogen being absorbed. But there are special concerns you'll learn about in this class because too much O2 breathed at too much pressure (depth) can be toxic.
The course is classroom-only since you won't learn any new applied dive skills - instead you'll learn dive planning skills. You'll need an Enriched Air Nitrox certification card if ever you plan on renting Nitrox-filled cylinders. This is commonly an option on live-aboard dive trips where having access to Enriched Air is an attractive option for safety & comfort.
